LAUNCH OF THREE NEW MIDI-BUS ROUTES ON GAUTRAIN SYSTEM

Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport, Ismail Vadi, this morning launched three new midi-bus routes at the Gautrain Marlboro Station in Johannesburg. “Integration is key to ensuring a seamless journey on the public transport system and today we’re launching three new midi-bus routes to Malboro Station from Kelvin, Buccleuch and Greenstone Mall,” said Vadi.
 
MEC VADI CONDEMS ACTS OF INTIMIDATION FROM STRIKING GAUTRAIN WORKERS

The Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport, Dr Ismail Vadi, today urged Bombela Operating Company (BOC) workers who have embarked on a strike action, to act within confinement of the law and refrain from any acts of criminality, intimidation or sabotage.
 
TRAIN INCIDENT AT GAUTRAIN DEPOT 06 FEBRUARY 2018

Sadly, at approximately midnight on 06 February 2018, a 58-year-old Gautrain employee was fatally injured when a maintenance rail-road vehicle which he was operating, coupled to a 4-car train, collided with the depot and maintenance equipment inside the depot.

Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport, Ismail Vadi, today launched the new Gautrain website and mobile application at the Technology Innovation Conference 2018 held at the Gallagher Conference Centre. The new website and mobile application are user-friendly interfaces on which users can register and receive profiled and relevant travel information online at their own convenience.
