Environmental Investigation

Environmental Investigation and screening are part of the integrated environmental management tools that enable the identification of environmental risks. Screening determines whether a development proposal requires an environmental assessment, and if so, what level of assessment is appropriate. Screening is therefore a decision-making process that is initiated during the planning stages. The process also identifies the various licence application processes that need to be adhered to, the specialist studies that require commissioning and the potential fatal environmental flaws of the proposed project at the planning stage.
