During this phase, the MEC for Public Transport and Roads Infrastructure will cause a notice to be published containing a broad description of the proposed route as well as the particulars of the times and places where the preliminary route report, proposed alignments, and the environmental report can be inspected by interested and affected parties. Interested and affected parties will be provided the opportunity to comment in writing to the MEC on the recommended route. The submission of these comments for Phase 1 of the Gauteng Rapid Rail Integrated Network (GRRIN) Extensions will close on 15 August 2021 in accordance with Section 6(3)(c) of the Gauteng Transport Infrastructure Act (GTIA).
